Disney+ Plans and Pricing – Everything You Need to Know

Disney+Plans Packages and Pricing

A shockingly low monthly subscription turned Disney+ into an instant hit. Within months of its launch, more than 28 million people had subscribed to the streaming service. A year later, worldwide subscriptions to Disney+ had surpassed 137 million.

But with price increases, new plans, and more changes happening seemingly all the time, it’s hard to keep it all straight. Here's what you need to know about Disney+’s plans and pricing.

Disney+ keeps its plans simple

Currently, there are two plans to choose from for Disney+: Basic (with ads) and Premium (no ads). The best part is that there are few differences between the plans. The only features that are exclusive to the Premium plan are being ad-free and offering downloads.

You can also get Disney+ with the Disney Bundle, which also includes subscriptions to Hulu and ESPN+. This bundle is a great option for families as well as people who already use Hulu and/or ESPN+. It’s also a great deal if you just want to save on the cost of streaming services, with its highest plan costing just as much as a single Netflix or Max subscription. The Disney Bundle offers three plans:

  • Duo Basic - includes Hulu and Disney+
  • Trio Basic - includes Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+ (with ads)
  • Trio Premium - includes Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+ (no ads + downloads)

Is there a free trial for Disney+?

Source: Disney+

Disney+ does not offer a free trial anymore. The company changed plans in mid-2020 and dropped its free plans. One reason for the change was the pre-release of its Mulan remake on the streaming service. No doubt, the other reason is how little trouble Disney+ has had gaining subscribers.

Does Disney+ have any paid add-ons?

No. The Disney+ subscription is all-inclusive. You get access to everything in the content library with your monthly or annual payment.

Does Disney+ have extra hidden fees?

No, Disney+ is nothing like a cable company. You do not have to pay extra fees for standard features. The monthly or annual fee is the only payment you need to make.

How do you renew your subscription?

Your subscription will automatically renew at whatever price the Disney+ plans are. On a month-to-month plan, you’ll get hit with any price increases as soon as the next month rolls around.

Enjoy your childhood favorites with Disney+

Many streaming services offer a variety of entertainment options, but you might not get to watch your favorite childhood movies with, say, Sling TV.

On the other hand, you can reminisce about your childhood with Disney+. Relive those early Saturday morning TV memories thanks to this streaming platform!
